L'histoire d'une Pravasi Bharatiya's
Je rédige mon histoire avec l'intention d'inspirer d'autres femmes. Après 40 ans de participation ininterrompue à la promotion de l'héritage culturel indien en Europe, je me souviens de mes débuts en France avec nostalgie. J'ai dû travailler très dûr pour relever de nombreux défis, tandis que je m'intégrais progressivement au mode vie français. En tant que mère de trois enfants, j'ai mené de front ma vie personnelle, professionnelle, sociale et culturelle en éloignant les stéréotypes négatifs à travers une approche intégrative du travail et de la famille, en utilisant mon leadership et mes savoir faire et savoir être. C'est pourquoi, je suis vraiment honorée de devenir la toute première femme indienne de France à laquelle a été remis le prestigieux Pravasi Bharatiya Samman des mains du Président de l'Inde, en 2019, pour ma contribution exceptionnelle universitaire et artistique.

I pen my story with the intention of inspiring other women. After 40 years of uninterrupted contribution promoting Indian cultural heritage in Europe, I remember my beginnings in France with nostalgia. I had to work very hard to overcome many challenges yet seamlessly assimilate with the French lifestyle. As a mother of three, I managed my personal, professional, social & cultural lives simultaneously, dispelling negative stereotypes through an integrative approach to work and family, using my leadership & soft skills. Therefore, I am truly honoured to become the 1st Indian lady from France to be conferred the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Samman by the Hon President of India in 2019 for outstanding contribution in Academics and Arts.
